How good is coffee? Are you serious?

ABC’s DIANE SAWYER DISCUSSES THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF COFFEE AS A CANCER FIGHTING AGENT

==================================================================

Did you know that coffee is an $18 billion a year industry in the U.S.? You’ve probably noticed the change taking place with gourmet coffee shops opening on every corner. If you frequent these locations like 50% of the population, it can be quite convenient. However, it’s also very expensive.

COFFEE IS A $70 BILLION GLOBAL INDUSTRY. IT HAS RETIRED MANY AND HELPED NUMEROUS ORGANIZATIONS RAISE MONEY NEEDED TO SUPPORT GREAT CAUSES.

That’s why I recommend Ganovia Coffee. Here’s why:

The nation’s average for an espresso based drink is $2.45. Compare that to the unit price of Ganovia Coffee at only $0.93 per cup, and you can see why our coffee is at the center of attention. But, let’s take it one step further with a little math:

Let’s be modest and say that you drink one specialty coffee drink five days a week (the average is 3.2 cups per day). If you purchase this drink during your work week at a specialty shop, that’s costing you on average $637 per year. If you switch that habit for Ganovia Coffee, you’d be spending only $241.80! That’s a savings of nearly $400 every year!

Just saying, If it tastes good (and it does), it’s good for you (and it is) and it saves you money…Then drink more coffee!

More to come…Be blessed.

What’s the right age for a cell phone?

How old was your child when they got their first cell phone? 14? 12? 8? If your pre-teen is begging you for a phone of their own and telling you that “all their friends” have one – they’re probably not lying. The average age of kids who receive their first cell phone is falling like a brick.

A Pew Internet Forum survey in 2009 asked parents of cell phone owners the question, “How old was your child when s/he got her/his first phone?” The average age was 11-12. Of kids who owned cell phones, 46% got them in the 11-12 year age bracket.

The average age is still falling, however. (One study in the U.K. Reports that the average age of first receipt of a cell phone in the country is 8 years of age!) Older teens report receiving their phones later. In fact, 0% of 17-year-olds polled got their first phone at ages 10, 11, or 12. But 12-year-olds reported receiving phones much earlier. In fact, 10% of them were less than 10 years old when they got their first mobile phone.

Statistics are good to know, but they’re not necessarily a good reason to put a cell phone in your child’s possession. Make your decision based on your child’s unique needs and capabilities. Owning a cell phone is a big responsibility, and whether your child is 7 or 17, only you know best if they’re really  ready for it.

A new tool to protect our children!

I am always excited about any new product my company puts out, but this one I am especially proud to talk about.  It’s called KidZafe™ and it’s designed to help you protect your kids from predators, bullies and sexting and helps you protect their privacy and reputation on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and on the mobile phone. KidZafe logo

Do you know who is communicating with your child? These statistics should frighten any parent:

  • 33% of teens have been cyberbullied. Most haven’t told a parent
  • 69% of teens admit to regularly talking to strangers online
  • 20% of teens admit to sending or posting inappropriate photos
  • Cyber-bullying is now the second-leading cause of teen suicides

KidZafe makes it easy for you to know who is communicating with your child. You’ll know who their online friends are. You will know what your kids are posting online and what is being posted about your child. You will have a clearer understanding of how and when your child uses technology. And with a downloadable mobile application, you will have greater visibility into how your child is using their mobile phone.

Most importantly, KidZafe’s advanced parental intelligence system will notify you if inappropriate, dangerous or suspicious behaviors or people are identified in your child’s digital world.  It helps you answer these questions:

  • What’s going on with all those text messages?
  • Who are my child’s online friends?
  • What is my child posting online?
  • Is anyone putting my child at risk online?

Should KidZafe™ identify any inappropriate, dangerous or suspicious behaviors or people, the program notifies you by email, SMS and online.

KidZafe™ is affordably priced and the sign up process is simple and takes only a few minutes. Tell KidZafe which social networking websites your child is using and/or install a mobile application on your child’s mobile phone or device. Your child, their online privacy and their reputation will be protected in less than 10 minutes!  I have numerous parents, schools, teachers and law enforcement officers ready to put KidZafe into action.  This fantastic new service will be available in late October, so check here often for updates or visit me on Facebook.

No Body Fat symbolWhile researching a natural remedy recently, I ran across a natural cure for abnormal body fat: Toxic chemicals play a major role in the hypothalamus gland and our hormone functions. It has been found to have a direct link to abnormal fat and where it is stored. So, whether you’ve been trying to lose that last few pounds or are obese, there is research showing that toxic chemicals play a major role in why we are overweight. The good news is that it’s not your fault and yes, there is something you can and should do about it.

You begin by not letting toxic chemicals into your body, with what you eat and drink along with what gets on your skin.

Skin is the largest organ in our body. What ever you put on your skin is absorbed into the bloodstream and adversely effect the glands and organs. They also block the pores of the skin, which reduces the bodies ability to naturally detoxify. Thus leading to internal imbalances and mixed up hormonal signals.

Who is effected? You! Have we been told? Yes, but not by mainstream media—and many who tried were shouted down and even called a number of names from nuts to some that can’t be mentioned here.

From the Center for Disease Control — National Toxicology Program, 20 years of peer-reviewed studies:

  • Synthetics in skin / hair care and household products can cause birth defects, learning disorders, obesity, children’s cancers, inflammatory diseases
  • Ingredients in shampoos, dyes, detergents & sunscreens may be mixing up your hormonal signals

This all leads to health problems, lower metabolism, and  obesity.  Three of the most deadly ingredients to avoid are mineral oil, propylene glycol, and sodium laureth sulfate.  These are all deadly poisons. Read the labels on products in your home—from your personal products to household cleaners. Even your pet and baby products. Both of these are also toxic dumping grounds. Many advise us to reduce the amount you put on or expose your skin to.

If you do choose to continue putting these products on your skin, (which is most of us) use Toxic-Free ingredients. Also look for 100% organic products. Many doctors around the world believe that the rule of thumb for good health is: If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin.

What I did.

I started making these small changes in my lifestyle. (And I have to admit, I’ve not missed a single item as of yet!) I was amazed at what started coming out of my skin as well as an over all sense of better health and energy. I am ecstatic to know that I can regulate my glands back to normal function and lose the abnormal body fat.

You can do it, too. Get informed. Replace those everyday items that put toxins in your body. Keep following my posts and you’ll learn more about how to determine what ingredients are in your household and if they are safe. I’ll also give you sources to easily replace those products you use everyday.

Live well.

An Update on Toxic-Free Sunscreen

Summer is here and it’s a hot one.

That means we have a choice to make: Stay indoors, Find a shady spot, or get out there and have some fun! Just don’t forget that sunscreen!

This summer, we have definitely put SAFE4U by Chae Organics to the test. Our grandsons, Jordan and Javen, have had camp this week and it was water week. Yesterday, they spent it at the pool with water slides and tons of fun. I put the sunscreen on them about 8 am and off they went. I sent some with them and told them to add more at lunchtime. Of course, they didn’t. So, for about 5-6 hours of sliding, diving and swimming it was a definite test for any skin care product. Jordan, being slightly more fair than his brother, did have red cheeks when he arrived home and we followed up with Thera-P relief Gel and this morning turning into a beautiful tan.

My husband tried SAFE4U out last Sunday and mowed grass for 3 hours with absolutely no sunburn. Plus his skin is smooth and supple. Not dry. Now he simply won’t use anything else.

Don’t be fooled by natural and organic products without checking the ingredients. Since my first article, I have had some approaches. “This is why I use XYZ products because they are toxic free…Well they aren’t toxic free. I have used many of the same products brought to my attention and I liked them.” But, to be toxic free you must be certified and have the toxic free label. Remember, the Certified Toxic Free Seal guarantees that the tested products and ingredients have been approved by the Toxic Free Foundation. The formulas have been found to be free of any ingredients that would be suspected to have short or long term affects on the health and safety of anyone using them, as well as the environment.

Companies that market other products do not say they are toxic-free because they are not. They may be natural or organic and marketed as a safer product. But you want your skin products to be toxic-free, especially sunscreens, Chae Organics is the only one I use and endorse.

Email me if you have any questions (debdavis.inc@gmail.com).  Be blessed (and more informed) this summer.

Destination Travel CAN Save You Big Bucks

In a hammock on the beach

It’s easier amd more affordable than ever to book a dream vacation. If you know where to look.

I have been watching the travel industry for several years and destination travel is at its best right now. Yet, fear and advertising geared to get you to buy lots of stuff to stay at home or in a local hotel can easily add up far more than if you actually took that dream vacation. Everyone has a dream destination! And with a little planning and saving it is easier to get there than ever before.

Travel is the largest industry in the world topping 8 billion dollars and 42 cents of everything bought online is travel. Pick your dream destination and when you would like to go. Also be open to options if there is a budget. A friend wanted to go to a particular area for their anniversary which was still in their peak season. Following a suggestion to search for their shoulder or low season the price which was only 5 weeks away they saved a couple of thousand and stayed in the highest priced suite with all the amenities.

So get creative. Set aside a few dollars a week or perhaps start a Christmas club account and roll it over a few times. Another couple went to their destination travel dream of Hawaii this way. How about for 1 year you ask for cash toward your trip for your gifts on birthdays, Christmas, events or anniversary. Throw a Destination Travel party with your theme and charge admission. You furnish food and games. Get a group together and get your room or cabin free for inviting friends. Have a yard sale and put the money in the Christmas club so you won’t be tempted. The idea is to go into the closet of your mind, look under travel destinations and find the dream you shoved aside for years and get started.

A romantic destination will rekindle the spark that may have become a smolder. Cruise lines and-all inclusive resorts are seeing the largest numbers in family reunions than ever before. They are affordable and easier than ever to book. Both cruise lines and resorts offer something for everyone so no one is bored or left out. Most destinations will assign your own personal ambassador to make sure all your needs are met.  So why not make it a tradition and go every year?

That’s not me in the hammock (I wish!)…but it could be you! I urge you to start planning for your dream vacation today. And when you’ve chosen your travel destination, I invite you to explore the most complete booking website I have found. Everything you need to book and prepare for your dream vacation is in one place: from passport and visa information to resort wear and event tickets, too! Find your favorite way to travel and click on it. And don’t forget travel insurance–it will save you money and heartaches.

We’ve all heard this numerous times in the past few years: You have to increase your income if you going to start building your wealth. You have to have a Plan B, because your Plan is destined to fail. You have to…Well, that’s true. But the key phrase to remember is not increase your income, it’s “start building”. You have to “start thinking differently” about where your income comes from. You have to “start doing something”.

So why not start your own business?

We all know that economic conditions are unstable. And your JOB is, well, probably not that stable either. If you are paying attention at all to the world around you, then you realize it’s time to start protecting your future and your family’s future as well. I’m not asking you to join me today in anything today. I want you to make a decision to do something different. Just get started. Watch this video from world-renowned author and financial wizard Robert Kyosaki as he explains why starting a home-based business is the smartest decision you will ever make.

I you have any questions about a home-based business, I’ll be glad to help. Email me at debdavis.inc@gmail.com.
